A Senior Sanitary Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, reviewing, and supervising sanitary and plumbing systems for buildings and infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design sanitary drainage, storm water drainage, domestic water supply, and plumbing systems.
- Prepare engineering calculations, layouts, specifications, and detailed construction drawings.
- Review project requirements, applicable codes, and technical standards to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate sanitary and plumbing designs with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering disciplines.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing for water supply and drainage systems.
- Select appropriate plumbing fixtures, pumps, tanks, valves, and related equipment.
- Review shop drawings, material submittal, and technical documentation submitted by contractors.
- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Identify design issues and propose practical engineering solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure projects are completed within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Promote compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management standards.
