enior Auditor – Job Description
- Plan, lead, and execute internal and external audit assignments in accordance with applicable auditing standards and organizational policies.
- Assess financial records, internal controls, and operational processes to identify risks, errors, and compliance issues.
- Review financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements.
- Identify audit findings, prepare working papers, and document audit evidence.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive audit reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans based on identified risks.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with management and department heads to obtain information and resolve audit issues.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior auditors.
- Assist in fraud investigations and special audit assignments when required.
- Support the development and improvement of audit methodologies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and organizational information.
- Stay current with changes in auditing standards, accounting regulations, and industry best practices.
